“I’ve had a lifelong battle with depression and have probably been to close to a dozen therapists in my lifetime and Lisa is hands down the best. She not only listens but works with you on solutions. I would highly recommend her for individual counseling or for couples
Lisa is exceptionally likable and approachable and has a knack for making it easy to talk to her about difficult subjects. She is an excellent listener and I always felt seen and heard with her.
There was a perfect balance of holding space for me to talk (and sort things out for myself in the process) and providing actionable suggestions for dealing with my issues and reframing the narrative I was holding on to.
In addition to validation, she also gently challenged some beliefs about myself in a way that I could hear and offered a different perspective of myself or the situation. She understood the challenges, concerns, and joys that come with parenthood, which was very important to me. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.
Thought processes and emotional responses that were laid down when I was a child, but are no longer productive or useful: indeed, they kinda get in the way…
Lisa is a great therapist: she can “call you on your shit” and be supportive at the same time. Wotta gal!!!
Lisa has helped me to give myself permission to feel all of the hard parts as well as the good parts and has guided me in finding new paths and solutions along the way. I now recommend her professionally to women both during pregnancy and the postpartum period and plan to keep seeing her myself.
